Newspaper & print

Know what your newspaper ad actually delivered

A newspaper insertion costs real money and usually reports nothing back. Add an Adscano QR to the ad and every reader who responds is counted: when they scanned, roughly where, and whether they left their details.

Free plan, no card. Paid plans from ₹2,999 a month including GST.

How it works

  1. Create the campaign

Set the offer, headline and lead form in a two-minute wizard. Adscano builds the mobile page readers land on.

  2. One code per edition

Download a separate QR for each paper or edition (Jaipur city, Jaipur dak, Mumbai) so results don't blur together.

  3. Watch the response

Scans and leads arrive in real time, split by edition, city and hour, so you can see the morning spike and compare papers.

What you get

  • Per-edition attribution

Separate codes per paper, edition or insert, each with its own scans, leads and conversion rate.

  • Mobile landing page

Fast, phone-first page in English or Hindi with your offer and brand colours. No app for the reader.

  • Lead capture

Name and mobile number, plus email, city or a question of your own. Duplicate submissions within 24 hours are merged.

  • WhatsApp or call

Send readers to a WhatsApp chat or a phone call instead of a form, if that is how your team sells.

  • Coupons

Give a reward code readers show at your counter, and mark it redeemed there.

  • Print-ready codes

PNG and SVG downloads, with a size guide so the code scans from a newspaper held at reading distance.

Getting a newspaper QR code scanned

Size matters more than design. A newspaper is read from about 40 cm, so print the code at least 4 cm wide (roughly one tenth of the reading distance) with a clear white border on every side. Avoid placing it across the fold or in the gutter of a double spread.

Give a reason to scan in words next to the code: "Scan for 20% off this weekend" beats a bare code. Price lists, free site visits, callback requests and limited-period coupons all work, and the reason should match what the landing page delivers.

Use a separate code per edition and per insertion date when you can. If the same ad runs in two editions with one code, you will know the ad worked but not where, which is the decision you actually need to make before the next booking.

Common questions

Will readers really scan a newspaper ad?

Phone cameras open QR codes without any app, and UPI has made scanning routine across India. The response depends on the offer: a clear reason to scan does most of the work.

Can I track two editions separately?

Yes. Add a placement for each edition and download its own QR; the campaign shows scans and leads per placement.

What if my campaign ends?

Pause it or let it expire and the QR opens a polite 'this offer isn't available' page instead of a broken link.
