How to sell offline attribution as a service
Most clients judge print and outdoor on gut feel, so the first measured campaign is your strongest pitch. Start with one placement the client already buys, add a QR with a reason to scan (an offer, a callback, a price list) and agree on what counts as a result before the ad runs: a lead, a store visit with a coupon, or an order.
Price the service on the work, not the tool. A common structure is a setup fee per campaign plus a monthly reporting retainer, with per-lead pricing for performance-minded clients. Adscano's rate cards let you set exactly that per client, and the monthly report is the deliverable that justifies the retainer.
Report placements against each other, not in isolation. Two newspaper editions or three hoarding sites with their own codes give the client a decision they can act on next month: which placement to renew and which to drop.
