How big to print a QR code
The rule of thumb: the code should be at least one tenth of the distance it will be scanned from, with a plain white border around it. Dark code on a light background, never the reverse.

Static or dynamic?
This generator makes static codes: the content lives in the pattern, so they are free forever but can't be changed or measured. For an ad, a menu or packaging you'll reprint, a dynamic QR code is usually the better choice. More in dynamic vs static QR codes and QR code mistakes to avoid.
QR code questions
Is this QR code generator really free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no limit. The code is created in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to Adscano.
Will my QR code expire?
No. These are static codes: the website, UPI ID or text is stored in the pattern itself, so the code keeps working as long as what it points to does.
Can I see how many people scanned it?
Not with a static code; nothing is counted. For scan counts, cities and leads, create a dynamic QR code on Adscano's free plan.
Can I change the link after printing?
Not with a static code. A dynamic Adscano QR keeps the same printed pattern while you change the page or offer behind it.
How big should I print it?
At least one tenth of the distance it will be scanned from: about 3 cm on a flyer, 4 cm in a newspaper and 15 cm on a poster seen from 1.5 m. Keep a white border around it.
